Description:

"Your World. Delivered. To the NSA." Introduction has what I believe is the ABCD tones, followed by tandem stacking, and then a brief marketing glimpse at the history of telephones, and new AT&T propaganda with music by Oasis. Not bad.

P.S.: Cable companies did the whole "Triple- Quad Packs" AT&T just copied, then took credit. YEt Cable is the only one to deliver everything under one line, AT&T has to do Satellite, DSL, and. Copper Line.

They broke anti-trust laws, they were forced to break-up, so then 20 years later they re-join.

But it's not going to be like the old Bell Labs... There isn't a single piece of electronics that you use today that doesn't have something in it that was invented by AT&T. Because of their monopoly status back in the day, AT&T practically printed money. They had tons of money to blow so they put vast amounts of money into research and development. In todays environment, investors won't allow something like a communications company to do that.

Coming soon: BRANDED INTERNET. For example, though "AT&T" or"Comcast" may have a network in your neighborhood, soon you will enjoy choice of branded internet from a different company through their network...just like IPTV. The biggest obstacle is getting our local networks built BIG enough to deal with the bandwidth. It needs to happen FAST. Big questions...How to get it done?...Who PAYS to build it? If Gov't gets involved...fees for all on internet bill...slow build.

(Actually Geeks and Nerds with a passion - like me - usually end up playing video games because the real world is much too mundane for them.) The Internet was built by both, I think. Telephone companies keep building their networks up to meet the demand generated by the Geeks and Nerds of this world. Without the Geeks and Nerds, the telephone companies would be nothing. Without the telephone companies, the Geeks and Nerds would be voiceless...kind of symbiotic...egads!

Randy3319: AT&T was the old Bell System (1984-before), unless by AT&T sucks you mean the company that bought AT&T (SBC) sucks.
