DaveAffleck ::: Favorites Keep in mind, this is a wildcat .17 cartridge that you can't buy off the shelf. That said, the farthest I've killed a coyote with this rifle is just over 400 yards. The load I'm using still has over 500 ft/lbs of energy left at that distance. But, realistically, I like to keep shots on coyotes with it under 300 yards most of the time. Conditions have to be just right to stretch the range much further.
