Alan Rickman I wasn't so impressed with but he did his best. I love musicals, but not all of them. Some stories just dont work. Say, The Office. I cant see them singing about a fax machine. But Sweeney Todd definetly delivers with powerful emotional effect. Its a display of how one sinful and selfish act can destroy so many lives. __________________________________________________ | |

I would also watch any Tim Burton and Johnny Depp movie on a snap but this movie is truly a masterpiece. This movie had me smiling the whole time and laughing at some other times. It is a must see and see again. I will see it again for sure once more at the theaters and then I will buy the DVD to see it again! __________________________________________________ | |

It isn't often when a musical about a serial killer is released, let alone one who has gone through so much trauma. Then again, they would be dead by the time they hit the floor so slicing their throats would have to be worse except is was almost cartoonish in how it was done. | xXestrangeXx ::: Favorites 2008-01-01 17:33:38 i saw the movie last week and i absolutely loved it! i was extremely enthralled throughout the entire thing and it really kept me entertained.... every single time he slit someone's throat i would laugh; the blood seemed fake but it made the film funnier... i also didn't really care for the love thing in the movie between joanna and the young man but jhonny depp makes up for it... and i don't care for musicals either but this is definately one worth watching! __________________________________________________ | |
